Your suspension affects every aspect of your bikes performance

From braking, acceleration, jumping to cornering and overall bike stability these things are all heavily influenced by the performance of your suspension.

Many of today's motorcycles are manufactured and sold with suspension that is designed to suit a wide variety of rider weights, abilities and terain so that a rider from 65 to 125kgs, a novice or pro level rider ends up riding exactly the same bike.

The down side to this is that in most cases the bike will have an average ride quality leading to fatigue and rider error.

For example: Many riders complain that their stock forks are too soft and bottom out.
In an effort to fix this they turn the compression adjuster in to stiffen the fork. While this may help slightly with the bottoming problem you also end up with a fork that is too hard in the initial part of the stroke. The end result is fork that handles poorly is harsh over the small stuff and causes armpump.

Your bikes external adjusters are best used to fine tune your suspension to suit conditions after your suspension has been modified (revalved) to suit your needs.

D.B. Race Suspension specialises in revalving suspension to suit the individual owners profiles and needs.

This can be done for:mx,sx,enduro, super motard, freestyle and dirt track.

The result is a dramatic change in ride quality, performance and feel.

Fork or Shock Height/Travel Reduction
Please call or email dbracesuspension@bigpond.com for pricing

Many of today’s motorcycles are tall for the average rider and can be overwhelming for the vertically challenged when the going gets tough. Reducing the ride height 1 to 2 inches makes it much easier to navigate technical sections, reduces low speed tip-overs, and greatly increases rider confidence. The travel reduction modification involves the installation of travel limiting spacers, (so that the fork or shock shaft extends to a reduced position) installing shorter fork springs and re-valving to match the reduced travel and your riding conditions.

The travel reduction can be reversed back to full travel for approximately half of the original cost. Travel reduction is recommended for trail riding, enduro and motard.
